About This Live Session
In this intimate live, I opened up about what it’s been like navigating life after my diagnosis — and how I’ve been learning to notice, name, and nurture my feelings instead of fighting them.

I’m sharing how autistic burnout often gets misunderstood as anxiety or depression, and how years of masking led to exhaustion, panic attacks, and sensory overwhelm.

I’m gently unpacking the difference between panic attacks, anxiety attacks, and shutdowns, explaining how my body gives early signals — tightness, noise sensitivity, trouble speaking — that I’ve learned to interpret through the art of noticing.

I also talked about my book updates and the joy (and vulnerability) of writing for neurodivergent children — weaving stories that feel safe, soft, and seen.

Throughout the session, I reflected on naming emotions after noticing signals, how giving them words helps me regulate and recover. I spoke about the sacred minimums — drinking water, unclenching my jaw, and allowing rest — and how easily they slip away during sensory overload.

Updates:

I’m writing an article with

which will be released this month.

If you wanna co-write an article with me, please send me a message!

I closed the session with a gentle permission slip:

“You’re allowed to pause, to breathe, to feel what’s real. You don’t need to mask peace to deserve it.”

Fun Fact:
Did you know Coca-Cola was invented by accident?

In 1886, pharmacist John Pemberton was trying to make a tonic for headaches and fatigue using coca leaves and kola nuts. When his assistant accidentally added carbonated water instead of plain water — boom — Coca-Cola was born.

One of the world’s most iconic drinks began as a mistake that turned into something unexpectedly good.

Maybe that’s your sign today: your “oops” moments might just be unfolding into something beautiful, too.

Gentle Note
This reflection touches on sensitive experiences like mental health, burnout, and neurodivergence.

If at any point it feels heavy, please take a break.
